Watch Early Educators Speak Out!

Play is the seedbed of democracy. A space for collaboration and negotiation, a social community that nurtures critical thinking and empathy. An incubator for innovation. And we’re stealing it.

In “Creating Citizens for the World,” nine teachers of young children speak straight from the heart, challenging policies that have drastically altered early childhood, damaging  our youngest students and demoralizing those who educate them.

While the battleground for this film is New York, the sentiments are reverberating across the nation.

It’s time for the ones who know young kids best to join Bianca, Chiara, Jeff, John, Katie, Peter, Rachel, Robin, and Sara!

Watch the film, and share it widely (below, some help).  Show it to parents and educators in your community. Get in touch with your inner activist with this toolkit.

The children are waiting.

My best,
Susan

With the Common Core we’re creating a class of children who are getting the message that school isn’t for them, that they can’t do it. WATCH this video and take action! #EarlyEdSpeaksOut http://www.ecepolicyworks.com/creating-citizens-for-the-world/

It’s frightening when you think about how far from the research we’ve come. So much of it shows that earlier is not better. WATCH: Creating Citizens for the World. Take action! #LetKidsBKids #EarlyEdSpeaksOut http://www.ecepolicyworks.com/creating-citizens-for-the-world/
